Hey kids. Here’s what local bands have been saying for themselves/doing/releasing over the last day or so. I was waiting until the Belladrum stuff calmed down but….well why bother.

Punk nutters The Cleavers have finished recording a new EP. Expect it to be loud and a bit mental. Will let you know as soon as it’s released.

Josephine Sillars has stuck out a couple of videos from her set on the Free Range Folk Stage at Bella. The first has her wearing her Doctor Who fandom on her sleeve. That ironing board has to stay. The second is the start of the same set, The Worst Day Of My Life. Yeah she said a different title at the start, shh.

Spoke Too Soon have gotten all retro on their track Starting Something. Expect a platform game featuring this for your Atari 2600 some time soon.

If you’re out and about in Inverness tomorrow night then pop in to The Eagle and check out Searching For Donkeys. The Eagle is steadily becoming a place for music and we need all the venues we can get, so popping in for a pint can’t hurt.

Scooty and the Skyhooks would like to gently remind you that they’re a) supporting Jools Holland and b) have two tickets to give away. Just like that page I linked then share the competition photo and you’ve got a shot at bagging the tickets.

Rachel Sermanni just past 9000 likes, well done Rachel! She’d like 10k before her debut album is released so if you haven’t already go and check her out. She’s rather good.

Because I haven’t mentioned it yet, Be Like Pablo just released their debut album “The New Adventures”. And it’s free. Just go there, sign up for the mailing list and it’s yours.

And that’ll do it for today. One word for our local scene, THRIVING! Keep it that way, go to a gig, download a song, check out a video….you get the idea.
